Hyderabad, March 21: Telangana TDP members stormed into the podium of the State Assembly and protested against the alleged indiscriminate arrest of T agitators in connection with the Sadak Bandh.
Raising the issue in the House during zero hour, the Convenor of the Telangana TD Forum, Erraballi Dayakar Rao lashed out at the Congress Government for not only going back on its promise in the formation of a Telangana state, but was trying to suppress the movement of the people of the region. He referred to the TJAC’s Sadak Bandh of the Kurnool Highway to Bangalore and the attempt of the police in arresting those trying to participate in the programme.
He demanded that those arrested should be released forthwith and no cases should be foisted against them. The BJP and CPI too expressed concern over the high-handed action of the government in arresting those organizing the Sadak Bandh in a democratic way.
