Telangana Political JAC convener Prof. Kodandaram and Telangana Employees JAC co-chairman Srinivasa Goud, both government employees are likely to be suspended from their jobs if they do not get bail by Saturday evening.
Any government employee spending more than 48 hours in remand gets suspended automatically.
The two were arrested in connection with the Sadak Bandh and remanded to 14-days judicial custody. The Alampur court rejected their bail petitions on Friday, stating that bail could not be given as the cases registered against them were of non-bailable nature. The Telangana lawyers JAC is trying to move the district court to get bail for them on Saturday. If they do not get bail by Saturday evening, Sunday being a holiday for courts, they would be spending more than 48 hours in remand and automatically get suspended.
Kodandaram is presently working as professor of political science in the Secunderabad PG College under the Osmania University and Srinivas Goud is the Deputy Commissioner of Rajendranagar.
