The arrest was confirmed by the Khammam SP AV Ranganath. He said the Maoist leader would be produced before the court on Sunday.
Maoist Central Committee member and Andhra Orissa Boarder key leader Sudarshan is a key accused in the murder attempt on the then Chief Minister Chandra Babu Naidu at Alipiri and the murder of the then home minister Madhava Reddy. He is said to have played a role in the kidnap of Malkangiri collector Vinil Krishna. There is a reward of Rs. 20 lakh on the head of Sudarshan.
