Director Bala is facing huge criticsm for beating his actors during the shoot in order to get realistic performance from them. However, Bala's latest release 'Paradesi' is just amazing and wondered critics as to how this guy is able to come up with these intensified mesmeric dramas. The movie revolves around the story of tea-estate workers set in the backdrop of 1930s. The pre independence era setting and the kind of exploitation made by estate owners are all just striking, with key actors Atharva, Dhansika and Vedika putting up their best performances.
