Hyderabad, March, 28: Malkajgiri MP and Union Minister Sarve Satyanarayana on Thursday withdrew his remarks against former chief minister late Dr Y S Rajasekhara Reddy. He did not make such remarks intentionally, he added.
It may be recalled that Sarve had said that former chief minister Dr YSR faced a “cruel” death because of his sinful actions and despotic decisions in the State.
Lashing out at Malkajgiri MP for making atrocious remarks against late Dr YSR, YSRCP leader Gone Prakash Rao said Surve’s utterances against late YSR showed his mean culture. He pointed out that AICC Chief Sonia Gandhi and Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh had themselves had showered praises on Dr YSR for his dynamic leadership and able administration. Condemning Surve Satyanarayana’s loose tongue and mean culture, Gone dared the Union minister to join 2014 electioneering without gunmen if he has guts.
Stating that Sarve should not forget that he had lost election at the hands of a member of the Secunderabad Cantonment Board, Gone said Sarve had forgotten about touching YSR’s feet for securing ticket for Malkajgiri seat. He also alleged that Sarve had indulged in gross irregularities by changing the course of highways and pocketed crores of rupees.
