TRS MLAs met the home minister Sabita Indra Reddy and requested her to give permission for the ‘Sadak Bandh’.
Assuring that they would organize the bandh peacefully, they urged the minister to give permission to avoid unpleasant incidents.
It may be recalled that the police had denied permission for the closure of the national highway between Hyderabad and Kurnool, which also connects Bangaluru. Despite the denial JAC convener Prof Kodandaram declared that they would go ahead with the sadak bandh. He asked people to postpone their journeys. Police already registered bind-over cases against Telangana activists.
