Telangana Rashtra Samithi, which has been spearheading movement for separate Telangana State, has decided to launch a novel program “Gadapa Gadapaki Telangana” (Telangana at every doorstep) from April 1.
Announcing this to the media here on Sunday, senior TRS leader and Siddipet MLA T. Harish Rao said all the MLAs and MLCs of the party would be participating in the novel program. Pointing out to the acute shortage of drinking water in the State capital, the TRS leader said Labour Minister Danam Nagendar and Marketing Minister Mukesh Goud of Hyderabad were responsible for the water crisis in the city.
Harish Rao has alleged that the citizens were pining for drinking water as the so-called “Hyderabad Brothers” sold themselves to late chief minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy. He also lashed out at cine actress-turned-Congress MLA Jayasudha for not speaking about the burning problems of the people of her constituency (Secunderabad) in the Assembly so far.
Kiran govt is partisan
Charging Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy with being hostile towards the Telangana region, the TRS leader pointed out that the former, who always claims to be a Hyderabadi, had granted Rs 7,000 crores to his native Chittoor district for providing drinking while he had sanctioned a paltry Rs 800 crores to the Hyderabad city. “Is it not gross discrimination?”, he asked.
