There was a heavy rush for tickets because of the high expectations on the film at the Seshu theatre in Dhone town. There was a stampede as fans pushed each other for tickets. In the melee one fan fell down and was trampled. He died on the spot.
It may be recalled that there was also stampede in the audio launch of ‘Baadshah’ at the Rama Naidu Studios and a fan died. Jr. NTR and producer Bandla Ganesh announced a financial help of Rs. 5 lakh each to the victim’s family.
