Rampur: Taking a dig on the forceful removal of the red beacon from Rampur MP Jaya Prada's car, former Samajwadi Party leader Amar Singh called for a press conference in Rampur district. The beacon was taken off Jaya Prada's car when it was parked inside her house.
Criticising the move, Amar Singh said that the shameful incident had taken place in the supervision of senior transport department officer Kaushalendra Yadav. The move is nothing less than a misbehaving approach towards a woman.
Amar Singh blamed Azam Khan for the misbehaviour and said that a few minutes before the incident, Azam had passed by Jaya's house.
He also threatened to take legal action if the responsible officer and Azam don't get punished for their coordinated deed. He said that he would lodge a FIR against them through the High Court.
Earlier on Saturday, Samajwadi Party MP Jaya Prada had said that the red beacon of her car was forcibly removed by some of the government officials. She also said that if no tough action will be taken into the matter, she will raise it into the parliament.
She also revealed that around 25 men were present at her house to complete the matter. Some policemen were also present here to support them in the procedure.
However, the police has claimed that they had conducted the raid following the suspicion that the actor turned politician was carrying a huge amount of money in her car. The police also said that Jaya Prada was carrying money to distribute among the voters to increase her vote bank.
Meanwhile, SP Chief Secretary Naresh Agarwal also came in support of Jaya saying that all the MPs have the right to have red beacon on their vehicle. And the incident of forcefully removing the beacon from Jaya's car is a thoroughly illegal. He also asked for a through probe into the issue and strict action against the transport officer who served the procedure.
