Strongly condemning the government, he said there was now no protection even for small children in Congress rule. He told his party leaders who had gathered in large numbers to observe his birthday, to refrain from all festivities. Party leaders brought a 64-kg cake to observe Naidu’s birthday. Naidu’s wife Bhuvaneswari, his son Lokesh and other top leaders have reached here to greet him on the occasion of his birthday. TDP leaders made elaborate arrangements also to celebrate Naidu completing 200 days of his ‘Vastunnaa Meekosam’ pada yatra. After he took the decision to refrain from festivities, they gave up the idea.
It may be recalled that Naidu refrained from observing Sankranti festival when Nirbha was raped in Delhi.
