In an exclusive investigation by Firstpost, it is revealed that Dawood Ibrahim operates from Nassau Island, the capital city of Bahamas. The report revealed that few currency-exchange companies from Dubai send money to Nassau's branches through wire transfers and most of that money belongs to Dawood. He is said to be funding for drug smugglers and jihadists across Asia. As Nassau happens to be a tax-free and high secrecy banking zone, Dawood might have chosen this place.
By moving billions of dollars annually, Dawood is a tough nut to crack for Indian investigative agencies, until unless they are supported by Interpol and other US agencies. Dawood is wanted for 1993 Mumbai bombings as he is found to be conspirator and funder for the massacre.
