Now-a-days, intimate scene and kissing sequence is not a big deal in Bollywood. Some of our actors had once swore not to kiss on screen but had to bow down to the demands of film industry. Several actors like Mallika Sherawat in Khwahish, Aditi Rao in Yeh Saali Zindagi, Emraan Hashmi in Murder, Kareena Kapoor in Kurbaanand many more have created history in kissing on screen. Even Bollywood actor Emraan Hashmi has honoured by the name Serial Kisser.

Everybody know that there was also a time when on-screen kissing was considered offensive, then to all these barricades was not strong enough to stop actors to kiss on-screen. You must have seen kissing scenes several times on screen but do you know, from where it actually started?

It started from 1933. Yes, the first onscreen kiss in the history of the Indian cinema was shot for the film Karma in 1933. The kiss was shot between actors Devika Rani and Himanshu Rai who was Devika's husband. That time these sequences were considered offensive and it was deleted from the film. This kissing scene did not go on air, but it became widely popular.

Well, it has proved that B-Town celebs of this generation are following the footsteps of Bollywood veterans.
