Lava to launch a 7-inch tablet, running on Android JB 4.2 in India | Specifications

New Delhi: Lava Mobile will launch an Android Jelly Bean 4.2 tablet in India. The launch will happen sometime in May. The device will lure the budget conscious people as it may be priced below Rs 10,000 in India.

The specifications of the yet to launched tablet are:

- Powered by 1.5GHz dual-core processor
- Runs on Android Jelly Bean 4.2
- Display: 7-inch
- 2MP Rear Camera; VGA front camera
- 1GB RAM
- 8GB internal storage; expandable via microSD slot
- 3,700 mAh Battery
- Connectivity Options: WiFi, HDMI Port

Although, there is no confirmation that whether the device will support 3G, but the presence of an optional data connectivity via 3G data dongles is expected.
