Revathi tied the knot with Cinematographer-cum-Director Suresh Menon in the year 1988. The due first met on sets of a film and have fallen in love. Due to serious differences, the couple filed separate petitions in the family court seeking divorce in October last year. After couple of hearings (March 31, April 6). Judge Raja Chokkalingam indicated that the verdict will be out on April 22nd and the same happened the other day. As it's a case of mutual separation, the judgement terminating their marital relation has been passed soon.
Revathi is known for her impeccable acting prowess and acted in nearly 200 films which include few Bollywood films as well. She even won National award for her directorial debut 'Mitr, My Friend' in the year 2002 in the Best Regional Film category.
