Though director Puri Jagannadh has been concentrating on many of his Telugu films he has been looking at every chance of directing films in Bollywood. Sometime back, he made his debut with the film ‘Bbuddah Hoga Tera Baap’ starring Amitabh Bachchan. And now, it is heard that Puri is planning for another one.
According to reports, Puri Jagannadh is looking at directing the remake of the Kannada hit ‘Appu’ starring Puneeth Rajkumar. It is heard that the film was a blockbuster which gave Puneeth the pet name of Appu even today. Sources say Puri is working on that script and wants to remake it in Hindi.
It is also heard that Puri has already finalized two young heroes of Bollywood Arjun Kapoor and Siddharth Malhotra for the lead roles. The original had Rakshita of ‘Idiot’ fame in the lead so we have to see who will be taking her place in the remake. But when Puri will start this film is yet to be known.
