Shri Nagireddy was one of the stalwarts of Telugu Cinema, who gave Tollywood some of its most respected films like Patala Bhairavi, Missamma, Maya Bazar and Julie. Nagireddy launched his films under his banner, 'Vijaya'. Founder of educational and health service institutions and the widely-circulated Andhra Jyothi newspaper, the Chandamama magazine, he was a recipient of a number of State awards during his lifetime.
Rajamouli's "Eega" movie has be awarded Shri B. Nagi Reddy 'Best Wholesome Entertainment Telugu Film Award' for the year 2012. The award was instituted by B Nagi Reddi's family members. Dil Raju won the award for Mr.Perfect in 2011. Now producer Sai Korrepati receives the same prestigious award for Eega for year 2012. A cash prize of Rs 1.5 lakhs and a memento will be presented to the producer.
