Samsung Galaxy S4 likely to launch on April 27

New Delhi: The Korean multi-national conglomerate, Samsung who unveiled its flagship model Galaxy S4 at an event in New York on March 14, may launch the handset in India on April 27. Apart from India,the smartphone giant will unveil the handset in a number of countries from April 26-27.

The handset is expected to carry a price tag of Rs 40,000 with two color variants - Black Mist and White Frost.

The key specifications of the handset are:

- 1.9 GHz quad-core processor
- Runs on Android 4.2.2 OS
- 5-inch Full HD Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels at 441 ppi
- 7.9 mm thick
- Weight: 130g
- 2GB RAM
- 13MP auto focus camera on the rear, 2MP front camera
- Internal memory 16GB, expandable upto 64GB
- 2600 mAh battery

The company has not confirmed the launch date but the latest buzz suggests that it may happen soon. The phone is anticipated to give tough competition to HTC One which will be in the market soon. The phone will be priced at Rs 42,900.
