A little bird claims that villagers from Wai, where Chennai Express is being shot, are miffed with the film unit. The reason- at a time when the state of Maharashtra is facing severe water shortage, the film unit is using excess water from the nearby Dhom dam for their shooting. Though the production unit claims that they have acquired all the necessary permissions to use the water from the dam, it is being said that the police arrested some villagers for trying to protest against this!
Directed by Rohit Shetty, Chennai Express stars Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone and is a massy entertainer about a man's train journey from Mumbai to Chennai.
