Recently, the latest buzz of the B-Town was that TV and film producer Ekta Kapoor had asked director Milan Luthria to change some of the sequences and the climax from their upcoming venture Once Upon Time In Mumbaai 2, whereas Milan has dismissed the rumor saying that Ekta has not even watched the rushes from the film.
The director called the media reports defamatory saying, "There was no verification of facts. We have initiated legal action against the publication that wrote about the rift as such pointless rumour-mongering needs to stop. We haven't yet completed shooting, so where is the question of a re-shoot? I'm very irked by such reporting."
He added, "Those who have worked with me know that I'm an extremely strong-minded and independent director."
Ekta said that her back to back hits with the director has aroused jealousy. Confirming the news, she said, "Milan and I have delivered two big hits 'Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai and The Dirty Picture ' together. OUATIMA is our third venture together and one of the most awaited releases of this year.
So, I can understand that our joint success is an object of envy and insecurity of some vested interests, who are putting out such bad fiction. It's amusing that our unit is not aware of such a re-shoot but they are! Ask them to at least come up with something believable!"
Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai 2 is produced by Balaji Motion Pictures and will hit the theaters on August 8.
