Siva Karthikeyan, Tamil actor, TV anchore starred in Dhanush's '3' and now featuring in ‘Ethir Neechal’. Siva who was an engineer created face recognition software along with his team on C platform. Siva was awarded 198/200 for the project and the external examiner took a copy of the program with him saying it was for his students.
However external examiner submitted this project as his own for his PhD and got doctorate. The project is now worth around $160 Millions and there are buyers lined up to take it with them. Siva is not really bothered about it and says he is looking to make that money in the field he is working now.
