Hyderabad, May 17: Musheerabad Hebron Church Trust members have said there was no link between former chief minister late Dr YSR’s family members and the Church.
Speaking to the media here on Friday, Trust members FCS Peter, John Subba Reddy and KM Samson said one Bakth Singh of Punjab had established Hebron Church at Musheerabad in 1950. Later, a society was established in 1971 to spread activities of the Church legally and to protect its assets. They said the society was also registered under AP Societies Act. As its activities spread all over the nation, the Church organisers decided to scrap the Society on March 23, 2004 and established a Trust on the very next day. The society’s assets were legally transferred in favour of the Trust on March 25 that year. The High Court also validated the transfer of the assets of the Church to the Trust on June 24, 2009. The trust was working properly since its inception.
While the Trust came into being in March 2004, late YSR became chief minister in May that year which makes it very clear that the Trust was established before Dr YSR became chief minister. Therefore, Dr YSR and his family members had no connection with the Church’s Trust. They also said though the Trust members didn’t have any personal interests with the Trust assets, for the last several months, some people were spreading a campaigning against the Trust members. The allegations were baseless and totally false, they added.
