Dhanush would soon have a special guest in the form of Rajinikanth. The man would soon be watching his son-in-law's film before the world sees it. No wonder, the youngster is a bundle of nerves.
"Dhanush would be making his Hindi film debut with Raanjhanaa this Friday. He is expectedly nervous about this but there are factors more than one which are worrying him. Rajinikanth has shown keen interest in seeing how Dhanush has performed. Initial excitement of hosting a screening for the entire family has now led to some tense moments. After all, Rajini Sir is a legend in his own right with close to 200 films behind him. He can be very critical about films and performances," informs a source close to the youngster.
It was always on the anvil that a special screening would be held for Rajinikanth. However now that it is just hours away, the whole family, including Rajinikanth's daughters Aishwarya (who is Dhanush's wife) and Soundarya along with wife Latha are waiting for the occasion.
"It is going to be an event in itself," adds a source, "Director Aanand L Rai would be travelling to Chennai and host the screening for the family. He too is anxious to see Rajini Sir's reaction to the film. Apparently, he really liked his 'Tanu Weds Manu'. Now it has to be seen whether Raanjhanaa impresses him further."
While one waits to see whether Sonam Kapoor makes it to the event as well or not, Aanand and Dhanush are busy packing bags.
"Yes, we are showing the film to Rajni Sir. We all are very keen to check out his response. Dhanush is expectedly tense but I am not," quips Aanand.
Incidentally, Dhanush's Raanjhanaa is releasing exactly 30 years after Rajinikanth's debut Hindi film Andhaa Kaanoon (1983). Now it has to be seen if history repeats itself.
