Black Berry Messenger with voice call service available on Q5 in India

New Delhi: The Canadian phonemaker, BlackBerry had released the BBM version 7 with voice calling service for BlackBerry 10 devices in 2012, allowing the users to make voice calls to other BBM users for free with the help of a Wi-Fi connection. The improved version of BBM (7.0.1) was available from March 2013 in other countries and is now available in India.

The news was confirmed by the Managing Director of BlackBerry India, Sunil Lalvani who not only launched BB Q5 at an event on July 16 but also said that BBM 7 will now be available on BB Q5 and other higher devices.

Key features of BBM 7

- The BBM voice service allows the users to switch from text to call and then back to chat again
- The spilt-screen feature allows the users to talk and text simultaneously
- Also, the customers can have a look at BBM text chats, emails or use other applications while using BBM voice call service
- An indicator on the BBM enables the users to know who can be called via BBM voice call service
- The users can talk to other BBM users via BBM voice call on speakerphone or with the help of a headset
