Here comes Union Minister K Chiranjeevi, who has now taken the initiative of cleaning 17th century monument Taj Mahal to make it look as dazzling as ever. The other day Chiru inaugurated the long awaited 'Clean Taj Mahal' campaign to improve the quality of surroundings of Taj. Chiru appealed to citizens of Agra to cooperate with this campaign, to keep the city and surroundings of Taj pretty clean. Every year, lakhs of domestic and foreign tourists visit Taj Mahal and Chiru wants to start a night bazaar at the place, apart from getting sanctioned direct international flights to Agra. 'Clean Taj Mahal' will be sponsored by ONGC and Tourism department will closely monitor it.
Apart from Taj Mahal, key monuments like Ellora and Elephanta caves, Golkonda, and Mahabalipuram will be taken care by the central government under 12th five year plan.
