Touted as a sequel to Kandireega (although the makers deny this), the movie has been in stuck in pre-production phase for a longtime. At first, Ram was supposed to do the project and later he walked out of it after having a rift with producer Bellamkonda Suresh over remuneration. Suresh has managed to rope in Jr NTR and even launched the movie in a grandeur way. But it took a while to go to sets.
Finally, the makers have locked its date. Rabhasa is going onto floors from Aug 2. Samantha Ruth Prabhu will be seen pairing up Brindavanam co-star again. She is already playing NTR's love-interest in Ramayya Vastavayya. Meanwhile, this film is due for Sep 27 release.
