Vamsi Paidipalli has finally broken his silence. Reacting to rumours which are rife that Ram Charan's Yevadu is a rip off of Hollywood film Face-off, Vamsi was quick to deny and clarify them. 'Even I heard of such baseless rumours. How could one spread such word of mouth even before watching the film? Yevadu has nothing to do with Hollywood flick Face-off. This is a novel story made considering Charan's image in mind. It's a full-fledged commercial entertainer. It's a revenge drama set in Hyderabad and Visakhapatnam. As of now we don't want to share much about the story and plot of the film. Once the film is out, anyhow one get to know about them.'
Talking about Allu Arjun's cameo in the film, Vamsi gives a peep into Bunny's role, 'Though it's a five-minute small cameo, it plays vital role in the narration of story. More than screen presence, the role has more significance in film,' before adding that without Bunny this film would not been possible.
He adds, 'Also Shruti Haasan, Kajal Aggarwal and Amy Jackson's have their parts to play in the film rather than just being glam dolls.'
Ask him is he apprehensive as Pawan's Attarintiki Daaredi is releasing after a week of Yevadu. 'Even I'm eagerly waiting to watch AD. Charan and I are big fans of Pawan sir. One gets to know about it only after watching Yevadu. I'm not apprehensive and pretty confident about film's success. Even Naayak and SVSC released in a gap of week and both ran well. One week of gap is enough for big-ticket films as there are enough theatres to rake in moolah.'
Director Vamsi Paidipalli, who made films such as Munna, and Brindavanam with Prabhas and NTR respectively, is all set for his third film. While he has worked for his own scripts for his first two films, now Vamsi has teamed up with Vakkantham Vamsi. 'Although I like to make my own scripts, I've no qualms to work with others. Vamsi has done a fab job and we both joined our forces. After all, we all work for success.'
Moving towards rumours that the film has constantly been delayed, Vamsi again clarifies, 'The movie might have launched a year and half back, but the actual shoot began only in January this year after Naayak released. Everything went well according to schedule. We shot the film in 130 days.'
Talking about his upcoming films, Vamsi sets the record straight, 'My next film will be with Mahesh Babu which will be produced with Dil Raju again. As of now, my whole focus is on success of Yevadu.'
On parting note, Vamsi who is birthday boy may not celebrate his birthday on Saturday (July 27), 'My real celebrations start only after the release of Yevadu, August 21. Until then, I'm keeping my fingers crossed.'
