Nokia launches Lumia 1020 with 41MP camera

New York: The Finnish phone maker, Nokia unveiled Lumia 1020 on Thursday, July 11 at an event in New York. The phone sports a 41MP camera which means that it is surely going to hit hard on Samsung's Galaxy S4 that sports just a 13MP camera. The best thing about the camera of Lumia 1020 is that it clicks sharp images even in low light conditions.

Powered by Windows 8, the camera has a feature called Dual Capture that allows the user to click two shots at the same time, out of which one is taken at 38MP resolution and the other at 5MP. The shooter has sensors that capture light to form an image.

Lumia 1020 has a 41MP Zeiss camera with five lenses and two kinds of flash - LED and Xenon. For users to have a better experience while clicking photographs or making a video, Nokia has added the Nokia Pro Camera application and Nokia Rich Recording video capturing technology in the phone.

Apart from the camera, other specifications of the device are - 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 4.5-inch PureMotion HD+ Amoled display, 2GB RAM, 2,000mAh battery and 32GB internal storage.

The company has stated that the phone will make way in US on July 26 and then move on to China and some European countries. Also, the phone will be available for at $299 in the US.
