The internal squabbles of Telugu Desam Party were further flared up with the remarks of Telangana Forum convener Errabelli Dayakar Rao against Rajya Sabha member C M Ramesh.
Hitting Ramesh personally, Errabelli termed him a ‘diseased insect’. He further went to an extent to fix their party chief, Chandrababu Naidu in choosing between them.
“He (Ramesh) is a bug to the system and spoils the party. Encouraging awfully rich persons like Ramesh in the party and elevating them to MP status just because of their wealth, hit the party prospects,” he told reporters in Warangal.
He warned CM Ramesh that he could not continue with his business in Telangana region. According to him, Ramesh was not deserved to be an MP, as he could not eligible even to represent a ward in the local bodies. He was candid in demanding Chandrababu Naidu to decide between him and Ramesh, since it is unbearable to stay in a party that encourages Ramesh.
Erraballi and other Telangana leaders seemed upset with Chandrababu's double standards on the Telangana issue. They could not digest the petitions of Payyavula Keshav and CM Ramesh in the apex court against the State bifurcation, in connivance with Chandrababu, who at the other hand, gave letter of consent on separate Telangana.
In his retaliation, CM Ramesh derided Errabelli, stating him an illiterate.
“Errabali has no basic qualification and he unaware of the legal procedures. Separate Telangana would not be realized, even hordes of leaders like Errabelli scream for it,” he said.
