On Saturday, Guntakal MLA Madhusudhan Gupta made cat calls and disturbed the House continuously during speeches on Sadak Bandh. Gupta also asked the Chair repeatedly to give an opportunity to him to speak. At last, Deputy Speaker Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka relented. Gupta alleged that due to Sadak Bandh, a woman named ‘Bibi’ from his constituency died as she reached the Apollo Hospital two hours late. He alleged that she died due to traffic jam caused by Sadak Bandh, otherwise she would have been alive. He demanded that the State government round up the leaders who organised the Sadak Bandh causing Bibi’s death.
Later, the Deputy Speaker allowed BJP floor leader Laxminarayana to speak. Reacting to Gupta’s remarks, Laxminarayana demanded that the police arrest the State government first and arrest the leaders who were responsible for suicide of 1,000 youth in the Telangana region. He also demanded that the government release the TRS and TJAC leaders immediately and unconditionally.
