Hyderabad, March 23: BJP national leader M Venkaiah Naidu said mid-term poll was the only solution for the corruption and chaos the country was facing now and that the people were waiting for a new government to take over the responsibility of the nation.
Talking to the media here on Saturday, he said the UPA partners were themselves vexed with the ways of the government and quitting one after the other. He claimed that the government was now a minority and mid-term poll might happen any time now. He called upon his party ranks to be prepared for elections.
Venkaiah termed the budget introduced by the government in Parliament recently as anti-people. He said the entire exercise was totally disappointing. He said the budget showed no solutions to the problems faced by the country. Fiscal deficiency, revenue deficiency and administrative deficiency were glaring, he commented. He said every one including the government partners, opposition and the people lost their confidence on the government.
Venkaiah strongly criticized the government for not mentioning about corruption, growing inflation, slackened development, unemployment and economic slow down. He said the government was unable to take right decisions because of its defective economic policies. He said BJP was trying to create awareness among the people on the inefficiency and corruption of the government. He said the party would take up programmes that would make people think about an alternative government. He said they would tell the people how the government was robbing the poor by raising the prices of essential commodities as well as diesel and petrol.
Answering a question, he said BJP would romp back to power in Karnataka. Party senior leaders Bandaru Dattatreya, Lakshman, Indrasena Reddy and others attended the press conference.
