Chiru fires at MP CM in rape case

Union tourism minister Chiranjeevi who has been trying his best to improve flow of foreign tourist was very much hurt at the rape of a Swiss woman in \Madhya Pradesh. He is feeling that this was a mar on his image and would affect his efforts seriously. He shot a letter to Shivraj Chauhan, Madhya Pradesh CM expressing his resentment over the treatment meted out to a foreign tourist.

In a statement, he said it was atrocious that a foreign tourist was raped. He expressed his anguish that such incidents would bring down the image of the nation in the comity of world nations.

Chiru’s office said he requested the state’s CM and the DGP over telephone, to take all steps to do justice to the victim. He also called the Swiss ambassador and assured that the government would render all possible assistance to the victim, Chiru’s office said.
