Naidu behind TV channel calling Jr. NTR 'Pilla Kaki'?

A Telugu TV channel telecast a very astonishing report comparing Jr. NTR to his grandfather NT Rama Rao. The channel took the Vijayawada visit of Junior as the immediate reason for the comparison. NTR got his fans erect flexi banners of his picture and that of his grandfather N T Rama Rao, suggesting that he was the real heir and inheritor of the great actor who founded TDP and stormed into power. This has enraged the TDP chief Chandra Babu Naidu and also hero Bala Krishna.

On Tuesday a popular TV channel telecast the report describing Jr. NTR as a pilla kaki (baby crow) before the towering personality of NTR. It said while NTR was over six feet in height, this junior was not even five-and-a-half-feet tall. While the senior NTR excelled in every conceivable character, the Junior has not a single film to name him a good actor. The channel has shown visuals of the great actor and also those of his grandson to show that the junior is not even a good artiste.

As soon as the channel telecast the report, doubts were expressed why the channel was so deliberately trying to defame Jr. NTR and even called him a ‘Pilla Kaaki’.

Now it is being discussed in the political circles that the channel had not telecast the report on its own. It is learnt that a TDP leader bought a half-an-hour slot in the channel and got this derogatory report telecast in that slot. The leader reportedly paid a heavy price for the slot as it was sought in an urgency. The channel had to take off other programmes planned, to provide the slot to the TDP leader.

It is now being discussed in political circles that Chandra Babu Naidu got the programme telecast as he would like prevent Jr. NTR from becoming a dangerous adversary to his son Lokesh in politics. Lokesh has no charisma when compared to the glamour of NTR. Now reports have been doing the rounds that NTR may even launch his own party with the help of his father and wage a war against Naidu and his son Lokesh. It may be recalled that NTR’s father Hari Krishna had already started his own party Anna Telugu Desam and fought elections against Naidu. It is with this experience that Naidu wants to nip the attempts of Junior NTR in the bud, say sources. From now on there would be regular tirades and attempts to malign Jr. NTR, predict political sources.
