On Tuesday, Ponnala met Chiranjeevi here and discussed about the issue.
Speaking on the occasion, Ponnala said the Centre has sanctioned funds to set up 10 Tourism Convention Centers across the State to develop the tourism sector further. He has urged the Union Tourism Minister to set up Tourism Convention Center at Warangal City, which was the capital city of Kakatiya dynasty.
Reminding that Warangal City bagged Best Heritage City award from the Centre on Monday, Ponnala said Warangal city was dotted with many historical buildings, tanks, temples, artistic galleries and so on and would attract tourists. He urged the Centre to develop tourism around Warangal City, which has great cultural heritage. He also said employment opportunities would increase along with development of all sectors in the area if Warangal City was developed on tourism lines.
