28 died in a building collapse at Thane

Mumbai : The count of the dead in the 7 storied building collapse at Mumbra near Thane had reached 28. A total of 54 members were injured in the incident and many in them are reported to be serious. It is known that the incident took place yesterday evening. The trials were on to save the people trapped under the collapsed building.

Fire services and the Police were busy in that process as there were still many trapped under the collapsed construction. News is that the death toll may still go up. A total of 12 fire engines and more than 25 ambulances were put on the work to save the injured. Officers are saying that the building was being constructed without any valid permissions.
