Break to Polavaram by the Centre

New Delhi : Central government has once again put a break to the Polavaram project. There was a backstep to be taken due to the objections raised by the Odisha Govt. The Centre had on Friday ordered  it is not justifiable to go ahead with the construction without considering the objections of Odisha govt and thus state govt of AP should immediately stop the construction work of Polavaram project. Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik had already raised a few objections regarding the Polavaram project.

Central water resources Minister Harish rawat had said that there would be an opinion collation from the conference to be held with the State secretaries of Odisha, Andhrapradesh and Chattisgadh. He said then would be a decision taken on the Polavaram project and had ordered to stop the construction till then.

The political experts are opining that the Centre is behaving like taking a revenge on the state. They opine that it was surprising for the Central Government to stop the prestigious Polavaram project of state government jsut on the cause of a small objection from the Odisha Government. Their opinion is that the drowning area in Odisha is very small.
