The traumatized girl, who was shifted to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) on Friday, April 19 for better treatment, was examined by a team of doctors from surgery, pediatrics and gynaecology departments.
D.K. Sharma, a medical superintendent at AIIMS said, "The girl is faring well, she is responding to treatment. She is now in a stable condition."
AIIMS is likely to issue a medical bulletin later in the day.
As per the reports, the girl was abducted on April 15 and kept hostage for two days without food and water in a room in which the attacker lived, on the ground floor of the building in east Delhi's Gandhi Nagar, in which the victim's family also stayed.
The accused Manoj Kumar, 25, was arrested from a village in Bihar's Muzaffarpur district on Saturday, April 19.
The girl, who was repeatedly raped, was rescued when members of her family heard her screams Wednesday, April 17th.
