Hyderabad, April 10: 'Sitamma Vaakitlo Sirimalle Chettu' heroine Anjali is safe. Her mother Parvati received a phone call from her on Wednesday morning. Anjali also asked her mother to withdraw the missing case they registered with the police.
It may be recalled that Anjali disappeared on Monday. Earlier she told the media that she was facing life threat from her aunt (mother's younger sister) Bharati Devi and Tamil director Kalanjiam. She even said her aunt has been torturing her for money.
It is being suspected that Anjali is some where near Bangaluru and went into self-hiding. As Anjali has to take part in the shooting of the remake of 'Bol Bacchan' at Bangaluru from Wednesday, the unit members also heaved a sigh of relief.
Though Anjal told her mother that she was safe, mystery surrounding her disappearance is continuing. It is not yet known where she has been hiding. Anjali and her uncle came to Hyderabad for shooting and were accommodated in the Dasapalla Hotel on Sunday. She disappeared on Monday morning.
Sravanti Ravi Kishore, producer of the Telugu remake of ‘Bol Bacchan’ told the media that he too had no idea where Anjali could be. Stating that she was to have come for shooting from Wednesday, he said they still had no information from her and were waiting to hear. He said they were shooting scenes on other artistes in the meantime.
Meanwhile, Anjali’s brother Ravi Sankar who tried to withdraw the missing complaint he lodged with the Jubilee Hills police, was told by the officials that it could not be withdrawn unless they were shown Anjali. They told him to make Anjali herself withdraw the complaint.
Police who started investigation of after Ravi Sankar gave the complaint, have found some information on how Anjali disappeared. It is now learnt that Anjali came out of Dasapalla Hotel running and hopped into a waiting expensive car and sped away. Police who questioned the hotel staff are trying to trace the owner of the car. They learnt that one person was sitting in the rear seat of the car and Anjali hopped into the car, beside that person. The car immediately took off at high speed, as its engine was kept running.
In another related development, Anjali’s aunt Bharati Devi also lodged a complaint with the Chennai police that her adopted daughter was missing. She asked the police to find her daughter and restore her. She told the media that she told the police whatever she knew.
It may be recalled that Tamil director Kolanjiam also complained to the Chennai police commissioner that Anjali gave call-sheets to him and had not turned up for shooting.
