Kesiraju Srinivas, who is popularly known as Glazal Srinivas, will be entering into active politics by joining the ruling Congress on May 12th. He would be meeting AICC chairperson Sonia Gandhi, Ahmed Patel and AP Congress in-charge Ghulam Nabi Azad in New Delhi on May 8th to seek their blessings.
Congress sources say, the Ghazal singer's entry into the party will happen in the presence of senior leaders at Gandhi Bhavan.
Glazal Srinivas promised to make the welfare and developments schemes implemented by the state government reach out to a larger section of people through his songs. He, however, denied any chances of contesting in the elections.
Srinivas was born in Tekkali of Srikakulam district. He shot to fame with the Telugu Glazals which he began in the year 1986. He even holds the Guinness World Record for singing Glazals in most number of languages.
