Bharathi Devi denied the allegations levelled against her and clarified that Anjali is the daughter of her sister who is residing in Gulf countries. "Anjali was adopted at the age of 15 and it was me who used to accompany her during the shoots. There is no truth in the reports that we have looted all of her earnings. I did scold Anjali for her bad behaviour, as a result she made such harsh allegations against me," she claimed.
Earlier, Anjali came up with a shocking revelation that her aunt has been using her like an 'ATM Machine' and took hold of all her finances. She alleged that her aunt never cared for her and also forced her to work without any break when she suffered an electric shock during a film shoot.
Anjali who hails from Razole in East Godavari moved to Chennai at the age of 15. She made her debut in Telugu with the flick 'Photo' in 2006, but the film hasn't earned her any recognition. She shot to fame with Tamil film 'Angadi Teru' (dubbed in Telugu as Shopping Mall) and ever since then there is no looking back. Films like Journey and SVSC made her a bankable actress. Currently, she is working for Raviteja's Balupu and Venkatesh-Ram's Bol Bachchan Telugu remake.
