Mumbai: The B-Town has fallen short of ideas and this can be seen with the remakes that the filmmakers are coming up with. Joining the trend of remake will be Dharmendra-Amitabh Bachchan's 1970's starrer Chupke Chupke.
The producer of White Stripes Entertainment, Vishwaas Paandya has bought the rights to remake the flick. However, the movie will have a number of add-ons and will not be a complete remake.
He said, "I am making an adapted version. It's a recreation, not a direct remake in the true sense. We bought the rights five years ago and have been working on it since then. The script is being written by Sajid-Farhad. They have completely adapted it into a new screenplay; like how Bol Bachchan (2012) was an adapted version of Gol Maal (1979). My film won't be similar to Chupke Chupke in terms of each frame."
The remake was rumored to be directed by David Dhawan but as reported, it will be directed by OMG - Oh My God! director, Umesh Shukla.
The original Chupke Chupke was directed by Hrishikesh Mukherjee. The remake will go on-floors by 2014.
Let's see whether the makers keep the humorous flavor intact in the remake or will not even match the original one!
