Mumbai: The wannabe Bollywood actress Poonam Pandey has showed her satisfaction over the Supreme Court's ruling in the bar dancers case. The Apex Court today said that bar dancers would be allowed to carry on their profession and all they need to have is a valid license from the authorities.
Welcoming the court's decision, Poonam said that bar dancers keep themselves dedicated towards their work to earn their livelihood and hence they and their profession should be given equal importance.
She took to micro-blogging website Twitter to keep her views and said, "Congratulations to Bar girls of Maharashtra who have won case against Govt in supreme court. Ab firse mumbai ke dance bar gulzar honge."
She added, "People look down upon bar girls. But they are earning their livelihood with just as much hardwork as everyone else."
Poonam would be debuting in Bollywood with her upcoming film Nasha which is slated for July 26 release.
