Rani Mukerji To Play A Cop In YRF Flick 'Mardaani'

Actress Rani Mukerji, who was last seen playing a middle class housewife in Talaash, will now swap the humble saree for a khaki uniform for her next film, which is being made by YRF.

Directed by Pradeep Sarkar, the film titled Mardaani will have Rani playing the role of a tough cop. A source attached to YRF said that Mardaani is a female-oriented project and is one of the boldest and grittiest subjects the production house has ever dealt with. It is also being said that as the film is women-centric, it might not have a male lead at all.

The light-eyed actress will also be seen in Bombay Talkies opposite Randeep Hooda, where she will play the role of a repressed housewife.
