In a personal interview I expressed my disappointment that writers are not getting into good light, but media took it in wrong way and publicized a different story altogether, says Kona Venkat, about the whole Kona-Sreenu issue going on at the moment.
'Only because of director, a writer will get good name. No doubt our talent will be explored and made popular only because of these directors', said Kona Venkat, explaining his take on directors. He also added that people like Ram Gopal Varma, VV Vinayak, Karunakaran and Sreenu Vytla helped him grow as super writer of Tollywood. But the star writer says that writers are not getting good importance in Tollywood due to some red-headed crooked directors.
'As Baadshah is my latest release as a writer, people are connecting to Sreenu Vytla and felt that I'm accusing him. But I got no issues with him and he is not my target', said Kona. 'I got good name in film industry in the last 10 years only because of Sreenu Vytla', he concludes.
Kona Venkat however expressed that there is no possibility of working with Sreenu Vytla now because he is going to turn director very soon. He signed off saying he will tender apology if someone feels that he committed a mistake.
