The Congress party has won 112 seats with two more seats yet to be declared and is all set to ascend the throne without the need of any coalition partners for the first time after 1999. After experimenting with Coalition governments, the people of Karnataka have clearly given a verdict that they prefer stable governments than coalitions ones, the survival of which depends on the whims and fancies of few selfish leaders.
Sources say that the party would have won more seats had it been fair in allocation of tickets but the shocking thing for BJP is that it has fallen in third position winning only 38 seats compared to JD(S) which has won 42 seats and is in second position.
