A case has been registered against Dhoni in Bangalore for allegedly defaming a Hindu god by the 6th Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate under section 295 of IPC.
Hiremath, the complainant, accused Doni of hurting the religious feeling by posing for a Business magazine in Lord Vishnu avatar holding several materials of the brands he is endorsing that include a shoe in his hands. The statement of the complainant will be recorded on May 12th.
