The Supreme Court on Monday reserved its order (not to deliver or postpone) on the bail petition filed by Kadapa MP YS Jaganmohan Reddy in connection with the disproportionate assets case.
After hearing the arguments of both CBI's counsel and Jagan's counsel, the apex court reserved the order. As a result, the YSRC chief has to stay in jail for the next few moths.
While the CBI's counsel opposed the bail plea to the MP on grounds that he may influence the witnesses, Jagan's counsel accused the CBI of misleading the courts by saying one thing in Supreme Court and another in High Court.
CBI has clarified to SC that their investigation has nothing to do with politics and also informed its requires another 4-6 months to complete the investigation of illegal assets case.
Jagan will be completing one year in jail May 27th this year and he has to wait for at least six more months to come out of the prison.
