Shocking and unprecedented response welcomed 60th National Film Awards ceremony which was held on Friday in New Delhi. As in an unexpected way, there was no one in attendance to receive India's most prestigious award among film circles-Dadasaheb Phalke- for this year! This is certainly another shock for UPA 2 government which is battling out many odds at a time.
The highest civilian award in the field of cinema has been announced for veteran actor Pran for this year and the sad part is neither he nor anyone on behalf of him could not make it to the event to receive Award. Pran, who is 93-year-old, couldn't present due to health issues. However, there was no one from his family either to receive the award on behalf of Pran.
Pran has acted in over 400 movies in a career spanning 60 years including 'Zanjeer', 'Ram Aur Shyam', 'Madhumati', 'Upkar', etc.
