Veteran director Dasari Narayana Rao has once again vented fumes against channels that are airing dubbed serials and warned them that he will strap them off film-ads that are under control of film chamber. Will this really have any effect on those channels and make them bend heads for Dasari?
Earlier when there is some issue with 'Eenadu' newspaper, our veteran director has showed his power by stopping issuance of film-ads to that paper. But the news daily is still the most read Telugu daily in the world and it proved that if film ads neither boost a paper nor stop its growth. And now, Dasari is threatening that he will stop ads to channels that are airing dubbing serials. Well, the first place goes to Chiru's channel MAA TV that airs dubbed Hindi serials. Though Allu Arvind made it clear sometime back that these soap-operas can't be stopped in the middle as there are agreements that cost crores, Dasari is paying no attention to it. So let us think for a while that film-ads are stopped to MAA TV. So what will happen?
When a latest super hit movie is aired on these entertainment channels, income comes from commercials related to soaps, pastes, deodorants, bikes, cars and etc, but not from movie ads. In no way the profits of a channel will be affected if Dasari stops these film-ads and so the channels will never care for them. There will be no use of blackmailing them with these film-ads rather setting issue amicably.
