Police said the 27-year-old victim; a divorcee techie came in contact with another software engineer from Kukataplly through a matrimonial site and continued liason through cell phone numbers and chats.
On August 2, Srikant and the victim met at a Hotel at Shamshabad but next day the female techie filed a police complaint next day that, she was gang-raped by Srikant and three of his friends at the hotel room on August 2.
Police registered a case and arrested Srikant but are enquiring, why she agreed to go to a hotel room to discuss wedding plans with a person, she was meeting for the first time.
