B-Town's veteran actor Paresh Rawal who is known for his comic roles, will be seen playing Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi in his upcoming biopic. The actor who earlier played Vallabhai Patel in 'Sardar' said that there are a number of common things between Patel and Modi. Paresh said, "Both Sardar (Patel) and Modi share many qualities. They are straightforward, blunt in nature and visionaries. They are sons of their soil, robust yet simple and they never pocketed money."
The 63-year-old actor said that his character in the flick is very strong and will surely be a turning point in his acting career.
The biopic based on the real life and career of Narendra Modi will be produced by the NRI Mitesh Kumar Patel. The budget of the flick is Rs 50 crore and the film will hit theaters most probably by 2014.
Foiling the rumor that Rawal himself was making the biopic, Rawal said, "I don't want to indulge myself into making films (of the same content) that clash; like it happened in the case of movies on Shahid Bhagat Singh."
